Apil 19, 2008 Sunday Beach Day at New Smyrna Beach

We drove onto the beach at Flagler Avenue, the hub of activity it seemed. We got a primo spot near the ramp. Easy access to bathrooms and food. We pitched our chairs and read and watch the beach scene go by. Folks who live nearby and can drive to this beach for the day are so lucky. You can get here early, set your beach camp and play, swim, walk and picnic. A very nice beach but today it was still wild water, altho people and kids were in the water. There were lifeguards.

We have been amazed at the critters that are keeping us company. This little guy must live on or near the picnic table. He shows up every evening as we are cooking dinner. We are also serenaded by the cardinals.
