Taking our life in our hands we ventured out of Miami onto the Florida Turnpike. Not too bad, but expensive. $2.00 about every ten miles. We decided to bail out at Ft.
Lauderdale and get on I-95 north. It was crazy, but after West Palm Beach the traffic lessened and the going got easier. We arrived at New Smyrna Beach around 3:00 and stopped at the
Publix grocery store to find their bourbon marinated salmon, which Ken and Portia told us about and we have been eating as we go along, about once a week. The
Publix we stopped at did not have the salmon, but the seafood guy called the next store down the road and they had it in stock. So after setting up the trailer, we went to the
next Publix store and secured dinner.
We have decided to stay here in
NSB until Monday. The campground is nice, but we are far away from the bathhouse. The price is right, so we will visit the beach and some of the bird sanctuaries.

It is cool here; time to break out long pants and sleeves.
